Japanese Jellyfish (Max)

Hey everybody, I just wanted to let everybody know about whats happened over the past 2 years. I had a R1 gold plated by Max and bought a custom gold plated R2 done by him. The R1 took about a year to complete. I've also purchased some Japan exclusive shoes and had all of these delivered without a problem. After a bit I wanted to get a Mars Crater gold plated. He ended up telling me about a custom gold plated MJ. So I paid for both customs to be done. This was just over 3k USD, and sent July 28, 2022. I got a message from him on the forum about the prep work for the frames being done August 5, 2022. Since then I haven't received an update on anything. He stopped providing updates on here, so I had to send him $1 USD through Paypal to get his attention after waiting for over a year. He later emailed me and apologized about the lack of updates. Then again went silent via email. I had to message another forum member to get his WhatsApp info to get Max to respond. After yet more reassurance I wasn't scammed and I would be repaid or have the work done, he went silent on WhatsApp. The timeline for me has been the following: June 16, 2022: Sent $1489USD for gold plating (also screws) and black Dillon lenses (Mars Crater). July 28, 2022: Sent $1529USD for gold plating (also screws), leather work, and Gold Tsuyakeshi lenses (Mars Jordan). August 5, 2022: Sent pictures of the prep work on Mars Craters finished. November 3, 2022: Asked for update (Was told you would ask tomorrow, never received an update). March 21, 2023: Asked for an update (Was told you would ask tomorrow [person doing the plating was sick], never received an update). June 5, 2023: Asked for an update (Was told you would ask tomorrow [Life happening], never received an update). October 26, 2023: Asked for an update (*Responded November 20, 2023 - was told you would ask tomorrow, never received an update). February 3, 2024: Asked for an update (*Had to contact you through PayPal: responded March 17, 2024 - Told you would ask tomorrow, never received an update). April 17, 2024: Asked for an update (*Had to message another forum member for WhatsApp number to even get a response) I have sent a message asking for an update on June15, 2024. I haven't had a response since April 23,2024. So if anybody has outstanding custom work with Max, I don't think you'll ever see it or your money back. View attachment 1150164

I think you are not the only one. I saw a post where some mebmers in the Facebook oakley group are calling him to reply to their messages.

Just to be fair, as an admin of the Facebook group you are referring to, all I can say is that all issues were resolved and all parties settled.
Be better of that we all focus in helping @Jim the Rebel so he can get back his pairs, as this is the OP’s reason for his thread!

He's had my Crater for almost a year. He messaged me back in November. Haven't gotten an update once. Max was telling me he was going thru some troubles himself. Was about to message him but saw this thread. Bummer.

No he is not working with LG office.

Currently in talks getting this solved. I’ll provide more updates as they come in. Sounding like getting the frames back is easier than the refund, some strings are getting pulled for the frames/customization work.
Are you moving forward with the customization? Don’t be foolish, it’s a stall tactic. Just get the frames back asap and cut your losses

Everyone got their frames and money back? You verified this with every member of your group that had an issue?
