I've sent a message to Jim Jannard(I know he's extremely busy right now, but there's no harm in asking, he may respond...)....asking him about whether the Initial run 5,000 had Black instead of X-Metal, on the label.

In all honesty, I can't see why they'd change the label at all, for the intial run. Not forgetting it would be added expense(I realize in the scheme of things less than a p1ss in the ocean but still money)and confuse matters also.
