I think I'll stick to the Radarlocks...

Nice find. Lenses + I guess wider angle seem to make those things look huge. Sheds a wee bit of light on the nose piece, which seems thin.

I don't see how it would be an improvement over the half-frame shield pairs (M Frame, Radar, et al). Unless the secret is somewhere in that temple and stem detail.

I'm thinking Oakley has resorted to rehashing things. I don't think their sport pair line really has any problems to address, but they need to throw in something new to keep getting customers who already have a Jawbone/Radar/Flak/M/etc.

The only merit I see to this design is possibly a single-lens switchlock system that doesn't "clip" the lens like the Radarlock has to at the nose....if my previous guess at how it works is correct. This would result in a lens that would deflect less than the Radarlock if the tolerances in the frame are wide enough, going in line with how the benefits of switchlock are marketed. Oakley would probably also say something about the lower rim aiding wind deflection like they did about the Jawbone - all in all stuff that would make this seem like less of a mere act for the sake of giving people something new to buy.

The biggest thing I could see is a potential platform for glasses utilizing HUD or action camera (google glass contact) in the future. The lens mounting application is going to be critical for any sport glass they do with wearables integration. This week is Interbike here in Vegas, so perhaps they will release some more information hopefully.
