Is that not what you were saying? Oakley should make them cheaper so “regular” people can buy them?
It’s a limited release of a highly sought after pair that’s been out of production for 20 years, made from a material that’s difficult to work with, and each pair will have to be hand finished, assembled, wrapped, boxed, and marketed.
Even assuming they’re 3d printed, it’ll be expensive to make them. I just got a quote for a titanium pen clip in DMLS grade 5 titanium and it was $100. That’s for just a pen clip with no additional work done to it. Raw print. Now more than quadruple that for a pair of glasses. Keep in mind you can’t just use the raw print. They’ll all have to be processed in a way to get the correct surface texture for X-metal, holes drilled and tapped, rubbers made, lenses made, leather added. Add in what looks like a second pair, and it’s really a pretty nice price at $2300.
I get that it’s expensive, but most people here (you included) spend or used to spend thousands of dollars on glasses here a year and you guys could buy one if you really wanted. You just feel that Oakley shouldn’t charge that much because you want it cheap. Everyone on this forum is super cheap.

Are you sure it's not the 13th? Maybe a translation issue depending where you are getting the information and what part of the world it's coming from? When was the last time they released new product, limited or otherwise, on a Saturday?10/14 release date
