Interesting backstory on this performance.
Prince was overlook by Rolling Stones Top 100 guitar players that year.
The other members were not sure if he would show for the performance.
At rehearsal the other lead guitarist (Petty's Band?) kept stepping on his guitar parts so he got pissed and left the rehearsal.
He shows up and no one was ready for his mind-blowing solo.
You notice he just hangs in the shadows just strumming along until Kaboom!
You can see the awe in the other stars faces' as Prince and his guitar become one.
I was never a fan but this performance, I have to admire.
His big F you to the industry...
