Hey everyone,

New to the Oakley Forum but wanted to show off my new purchase! Not really expecting any responses lol, just here to show you all my new shades.

I figured that wearing Radar EV Paths will make me stand out anyway, so why not go all in? I felt like choosing a more subtle color scheme would be like trying to blend in while wearing a pair of sunglasses that stick out.

I have been wearing Roka Konas for the past many years and absolutely love them. I wear them running, hiking, biking, driving, camping, and casually anywhere I go. Their Gecko tech is no joke, and I love the way they fit on my face. I bought these Oakleys simply because I was bored and wanted something new.

The way the Oakleys sit on my face is quite different than the Rokas. I'm not sure yet which i like better. I live in rural Kenya so am pretty rough on my sunglasses. My concern with the Oakleys is durability of the lenses, as they will be exposed to every natural element you can think of (including a toddler and newborn). I don't buy a pair of sunglasses to baby them - I will put these through the ringer and if they don't hold up, I won't be surprised or disappointed. I knew the risks when I bought them.

Compared to my Rokas, these lenses are far superior. But my Rokas are tough and durable, which is a major factor for me, my lifestyle, and where I live. I am a big Roka fan, and more than likely my next pair will be Rokas again just due to their sturdiness. In 2019 my wife and I walked (on foot) across East Africa - 1,900 miles across Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda. My Roka Konas were amazing and handled everything thrown at them.

All of this to say that I hope these Radars hold up, but I won't be disappointed if they don't. I plan to use them for every outdoor adventure - camping in the bush, safari, training, etc. I'll also wear them casually, because even if they make me look...um...strange, I don't really care.

The specs of my custom Oakleys are: Radar EV Path, Prizm Ruby Iridium Polarized frames, Sky Blue frame, Sky Blue ear socks, and Matte Black "O" icon. The colorway may not be for everyone, but like I said, I wanted something unique, and decided to go all in.

Just wanted to show them off, as I am excited to own my first pair of Oakleys! Thanks for reading :)
