So I got a new pair of NSJ99s, matte black and gold (maybe 04-250) and while inspecting them I noticed they lacked the four divots/indentations on the outside edges of the inner orbital my polished black/black had.

A little uneasy, but every other detail lines up - I believe they are legitimate - all the same I took to searching images of known quantities. Some have these idents, others do not, even in the same colorways. I’m guessing this is just a manufacturing variation in the molding design process.

I know from an MPH box, that NSJ99s were being assembled as late as 2011. That’s a long run, so I’m assuming this is just a small quirk over the decade+ they were produced. Photos below of my findings:

My feelings are, if that's all you're worrying about, you've got nothing to worry about. If the nose bridge Icon Text is present, as it should be and it's the correct Font and size, everything else checks out. They're Genuine.

I believe they are genuine, everything else lines up and they feel right - no nosebridge text though.

More just curious about the indents and and wonder why they are even there in the first place 😂 but I get carried away with details .
