In case of question; the box was ripped when I got it from the UPS guy.

It's unfortunate how they do that "frosting" now. It appears instead of frosting they just run an tool over the lens to create the effect. The last release has the same thing.

Your shipping looks to be the same way I get my stuff from lux now. I nearly alway buy two of everything now because at least one still comes banged up and needs to be returned.

Just look at the nosebridge section of the SubZero. Do you see the tool marks? I have a 1994 pair which still looks better than this "new" one.

Inflation. As far as flimsy, did you ever have any of the 90's originals? The first release of Sub Zero #1's for example were very stiff and prone to cracking at the nose bridge...ask me how I know. At least back then they had a true warranty program and would exchange glasses in most cases.

I have started ordering from the secondary sites... I am in the process of learning which are shyt and which take care of its customers but overall... They are often cheaper, they package the product for a rough ride to prevent damage (mostly), and they arrive sooner! Now take Kith who I grabbed the last two EJ's from that got put back into stock days after the release and the box shows up like this and they give you a $20 refund after first trying to blame it on the shipper and just refund $10 for shipping. In the end they never took responsibility for selling this to me at full price knowingly so Kith goes on the bad list...

Its choose the better of the two bads... Lux is probably going to show up damaged but at least they take returns and issue 30% codes so they have that going for them.

If I can get it from Lapstone and Hammer I do... they often have codes in Honey app and they will take care of you which I had an issue they handled awesome!

I ended up with two Burnt Brush... If someone wants to save on state tax that lives in a high tax state I can sell it for retail plus about $6 to ship it ground... if no one wants it I will keep em and maybe use one in the wild....
