I've been a proponent of an 8 team playoff since the beginning of this modern playoff era. The conference champions of the five power conferences get an auto bid and that leaves three wildcard spots for the most worthy of the non-power conferences and/or power conference non-champions. It just adds one more round to the playoffs, which could be fit in the existing bowl schedule without lengthening the season.

And how do you castrate a bama fan? Kick his sister in the jaw!

We had 2 and all complained..
We have 4 and a lot complain.
If we had 6 or 8 we would complain about that too.
Sorry I don’t think 5th ranking thru the 8th ranked team should have a shot.
Biggest problem is strength of schedule!! BAMA played NO one out of conference. Very weak teams. A lot of these schools play weak schedule. Wisconsin would get beat by most of the teams in the top 10 this year.

But look at last year. USC was good enough to compete with the top four teams as hot as USC was playing at the end of the season. (PSU was too) and they both could of knocked someone off.

Same thing with auburn and OSU this year imo. Auburn played Georgia twice and Alabama once in the last 4 weeks. That's a super tough stretch.

But look at last year. USC was good enough to compete with the top four teams as hot as USC was playing at the end of the season. (PSU was too) and they both could of knocked someone off.

I totally agree Penn State and USC would have beaten a number of the 4 teams that were in the playoff. At least we were able to see an amazing game between those two last year!!

The committiee has a complete East Coast bias!!
I like Ohio State (when they don't play USC) but they too at times will play weak out of conference schedule. It is getting better but still.
They will always put OSU in a major Bowl cause the fans will come.

Sorry Auburn this year had 3 losses even tho a really tough schedule at the end they needed to drop. They will win big in their Bowl.

1st game of the season in Mercedes Benz Stadium vs Florida State was against an ACC team.

And FSU gets its head coach. Willie Taggart is leaving Oregon after one season.

I was surprised by that one. Between turnovers and penalties, it was like Auburn did as much to lose it as Georgia did to win it. They were sloppy.

That game hurt, but it was still fun. My mom and I made it out there to watch AU get the crap beat out of them.

Central Florida upsets Auburn... Ouch... A pick 6 with 6 minutes remaining in that game sealed it.
