Sorry Q. I like Georgia but they have a history of having a top 5 pre season ranking and not living up to it. I guess we will see if the new coaching staff will turn that around. Their offense looks OK but if the defense doesn't come up with a way to stop Baker Mayfield & Co. than they will be watching the national championship from their couches

In my eyes, there has been a turnaround.

They have certainly showed some more consistent play under the new staff but I need to see them beat Oklahoma Alabama or Clemson to be convinced of a turnaround. They had a very weak schedule this year for an SEC team

It' certainly a kick in the nuts losing Scott frost. I think he and his staff are excellent dodge coaches and I think it is a big step UP for Nebraska but one of the reasons they were able to do so well at UCF is because of how deep Florida's football pool is. I think they will improve Nebraska's program dramatically but I'm also a fan of loyalty. They were building something special at UCF(that was started by George O'leary) and could of got UCF into a bigger conference. Either was he has a special staff and they will do good wherever they go and Nebraska is fortunate to get them.

The $$$ between Power Five and Group of Five is ASTRONOMICAL.

If you're a successful coach at a smaller school, it's pretty impossible to turn down that kind of generational, life changing cash.

The fishbowl that these coaches find themselves in, as they move to the FBS level, is not everyone's cup of tea. But, when you consider the amount of the average buy out, if they get canned, it's mind boggling.

A valid point but Frost started with a base salary of 1.7 million per year and was eligible for a performance based raise to take him to over $4 million per year. Nebraska is paying him a straight $5 million per year. UCF is the largest university in the country so i wouldnt consider them a small school and they have a rare ability to pay the big numbers

You're not including the perks that an FBS school can also provide.

Endorsement $$$, private jet allowance etc., so I'd guess Frost's compensation is even higher.

At the end if the day, it's got to be hard to turn down your alma mater and an opportunity to restore them to their traditional glory, all the money notwithstanding.

Ya I don't think he would of left for anywhere other than his alma mater...which I can appreciate. But I'm still bias being that I went to high school less than 5 miles from UCF:)

I saw that pass to Mayfield coming, as soon as he left the backfield.

Fromm is now going to be throwing the ball 40+ times. Not in Georgia's DNA

Not looking good for The Dawgs.

I know Smart wasn't exactly expecting 31 OU points in the 1st half.

Hopefully Huipel can keep it going.

Boise State is an anomaly in the Group of Five, being able to withstand coaches leaving ( Hawkins and Petersen) and finding someone with University ties ( Harsin) to continue their success.

UCF has built in advantages with recruiting, so maybe they're in better shape than most everyone else. Especially if The Big XII expands and UCF and USF get invited to the next level.
