When I redeemed my $4 prize, the cashier looked at me expecting me to play more lotto... No. I want all four of my dollars lol. I guess most lotto players just play with their prize winnings?

Yep - that's why the lotto is often called a "stupid tax" - I mean, buying a ticket here and there, no biggie it's just for fun, but the people who drop $20 a pop on a batch of tickets and then turn any winnings into more tickets, they just have no comprehension of odds...

And basic Vegas-style gambling common sense, you gamble your stake, never your winnings, or you'll always end up broke by the time you leave.

And the tickets aren't cheap. I've seen $25 scratch off tickets. WTH?

I know that some of the addicted view playing the lotto as an investment. My mom is of this thought. It's OK spending a few dollars as long you know the odds are long. And one day she believes that she'll get everything back.... UMMMMMMMMM what?
