tHEY have been advertising 1 gig internet availability where I like. Not gonna sign up for it but some of the claims on speed are pretty impressive.

Different places are getting it... Some of these companies are saying it to remain revelant. I won't expect it in Tallahassee anytime soon. The phone company is a hot mess. Google Fiber is nowhere in site.

Agreed... Anything that will really put Comcast and Centurylink in their places.

I'm actually thinking about moving to an even smaller town in Missouri that has fiber to the home at whatever speed you want for super cheap. The problem is that fixes one big problem I have and creates several smaller ones.

Google Fiber's in Austin, but not yet my neighborhood...

Reading about their services, it's next-gen compared to the rest, yet cheaper... WANT!!!!

We have fibre to the cabinet here but not yet fibre to the property. Some parts of the country do though.
