Where the hell do these keep popping up at?!?!

BTW if one were to pick these up how would you know it was real? Does it come with special paperwork or packaging?

each of the 50 petterson came wrapped in a black plastic bag with stickers on it so you couldn't see which one you were buying. 25 shops had 2 pairs each, sold in the USA. some people may have thrown away the bag and i have seen some for sale without that part of the packaging. normal frogskin boxes were issued. i have yet to hear of a fake, and imagine it would be hard to pull off.

what romeo said is true, abt the black packaging. and the pairs are individually signed and numbered.

This is correct; however, Andrew Petterson has painted other frogskins that are not included in the original series. These pair are also signed like the original 50 but the do not contain the numbers. He has also painted a pair of Jawbones if I remember correctly.

do you have one romeo?

there are 7 gen 3 frogskins I am missing that would complete the collection, and sadly the Petterson is one of those, (others are blends, valentines, 3 fragment, & bananabeat 1). I wanted one of the better ones so i have declined chances on pairs without black bags or less impressive examples. I am still interested in getting a pair, esp #5 or/and 35.

#42 Its really is the jewel of my collection and in the line up this pair really spoke to me personally. They have such impact and style which I really love. I sold like 5 pairs of x metals just to buy it but well worth it.
