Precision machined spinning tops...the latest trend!

I wonder if he's able to return the wrong sized exotics and, if not, what he'd make with them. Assuming it was some sort of top offering.
I think the exotic metals he has are leftover stock from previous designs. Would be easier to keep it and order new stock for the size he needs, which is what I think he did.

Great questions. Here is what happened. I put a chunk of Super conductor in for the inner disc. When I machined it, you could not even tell it was superconductor because of all the machining. At that point I was physically sick. I can use the material for other tops so no worries there but because I had to push the date of the project out. So I ordered 1.25" so I could use it for the outer collar. It is what it is and we just have to make the best of it. Personally I think the exotics will look better as the outer collar anyways. Hoping to launch at the end of September. I did redesign parts of the outer collar and I think it made it look even better. So excited for this one.

In the mean time, we are filing the K2 video today and will be starting the long spinning tungsten donuts tomorrow. Should be releasing them next week on the website!

Thanks.

I agree - though the exotics work as an inner disk, they are much better showcased as a collar or the disk of a two-piece. The Damascus Rotors looked awesome, really showed off the exotic material, I wish I had been able to snag one. While with the Trident most of the exotic was covered up and harder to see, except for the underside.

Anyway I'm really liking the K2 and look forward to seeing the tungsten donuts.

Thanks for the info Rich! One question on the tungsten top, What will the finish look like? Will it have some polish or a "raw"look? I hope this makes sense to you?

It will be raw, just like the finish on the Infected Specimen. It is a very smooth finish but not shiny. We should have pics late today or early tomorrow!

Here is a sneak peek of the finished K2...Dont tell anyone :p
