Selling/refurb advice please

Have a pair of X-metal I’ve had since about 1999 that I dug out last year, tbh forgot I had and was astounded at some of the prices.

Currently looking to monetise any of my old crap in the house, including these I think. Is there any benefit in getting these refurbed before selling and any idea what sort of money I would expect/demand? Lenses have delaminated unfortunately and rubber bits are knackered or missing.

Thanks for any advice, have no idea really of fair market value. Did post a while back about these but twins came along and derailed best laid plans…

What would you want for them?. Or do them a custom and them inherite them to one of your twins . Down the line to give them

Looks like an early titanium version that has a shyteload of oxidation on the frame. Good news is they can be refurbed to like new by multiple customizers.
You’re in for close to $200 to stay OEM for new custom cut lenses and rubber set/gaskets. After market parts can be had and are cheaper but will affect resale value. Probably in for $100+? to refurb the frame.
You could probably get $300 or thereabouts for it in current condition.
Just one guys opinion.

Heavy oxidation, but it can be restored (there are people here on this forum for that). I would suggest keeping and restoring, do not sell. Restoring around 150-200 USD ( refinishing around 100 + Lens 35-65 + rubbers).

Hi, 2 options sell as is or refurb then sell. At the minute you’ve got nothing invested in them and you may not want to put a few 100 into brining them back to life. If I were you I’d sell them as they are and let the next owner do with them as they wish. eBay auction is good but nicer if they can go to a collector in the forum rather than a reseller on eBay!! There’s definitely a few U.K. guys here that would buy them like @mjt42 as he’s mentioned.
