I see you are contemplating the lower later. Probably a much harder task?

Honestly it’s more about overdoing the bling-factor for my personal taste. Just felt like it would be too much.

I don’t “think” it’ll be any harder than the tops…unless I’m missing something. Only about an extra 3/4 of an inch to wrap.

I ain’t gonna say it’s easy…but it’s not so hard I’d never do it again. I started with glue stick which is surprisingly strong for thin materials. I’m also curious how long it will hold. So far quite well on the Craters. I hesitate to use stronger glues out of concern for damaging the finish on the frames. But if stuff starts peeling off say in heat that would be the next option.

Just got up and caffeinating now…will take a look, wear em today, and see what it looks like.

We shall see!

I wonder if you can get a Better Looking Ear sock to fit those. It will give it a much cleaner look

Yeah…I thought about that too…I kinda like the upside down shark fins 🦈. But noted they snakeskin wrapped darn near the whole stem in the example we initially saw 🤔

I usually dislike white earsocks but I think they would look dope ass hell on this pair. Especially if they met the snakeskin perfectly. Maybe a juliet pair , linegear ?

I’m not a fan of white myself…but just so happens I have a pair of white ear socks from a Mars Crater 👽👍

The pics turned out a bit washed out due to my light box but the Rattler is more tan than white…but still worth a look 🪖👍

Side note…for my two cents the key to this type of wrap is a highly contrasting color to the frame. For instance a black snake skin would likely not even show up! That and ultra thin onion skin kinda leathers.

As of now, I’m happy with the Shark fins. Just interesting and different enough.

If I were to change I’d likely use black Juliet's and extend the Rattler back to meet em…heck have a pair I can test that look as well.

Best part about the temples and stems is that so far it’s fairly easy to change…and does not make me flinch like when I snip off MARS Crater stitching 😜✂️🧵🪡

Well…not that horrible a process. Took about 30-40 mins with alcohol wipes and some hand sanitizer.

Still head-scratching about the icons. They did not silver up so far as some allegedly do. Also interesting to note they are blue behind the gold. Darn tenacious gold on this pair. As I have a pair of Revant Elite Polarized Titanium lenses for them I’m inclined to hand paint the icons gun metal grey.

The gold lenses that were in them will happily find a home with a pair of Tortoise Monster Dogs I got off eekBay (till I figure what their purpose in life is).

Think I need one more pair of these for a frosted set. I’m digging the clear too much to move forward and frost these.

🪖👍

I suppose I’m just a heathen, but looks good to me.

Testors Flat Steel. We’ll see after it’s done drying. Went back and forth between flat steel and flat aluminum. Thought the steel went better with the planned titanium lenses.

Note to self: It's important to note that all enamel paints take a full 24-48 hours to fully dry and 7-10 days to cure and become solid hard.
