The usual "which ones do I get" dilemma...

I have been waiting for this post to be "APPROVED" for public display. I purchased a membership.

I enjoy driving, and I have started to wear sunglasses while driving, I found I get less eye fatigue. Go figure... So I have these cool Oakleys. Started driving with my Carbon Blades. Good enough. Then I have been wearing my Mag Fours. Fun. And then it occurred to me, I could wear my Pennys... I have broken them out of storage, and I enjoy wearing them I have very little millage with them as being polished, I just didn't wear them much. Come to find out, the nosebridge is worn out, seems the gaskets inside disintegrated with age. But then I got this idea... I could get myself a new (to me) pair of X-Metals! But which ones?

I used to own X-Squared. I don't remember why I let them go and kept the Pennys. Maybe I just didn't like carrying them around with me, I only had a motorcycle at the time for the most part. I recall not enjoying how the ends of the arms stuck out when folded. I don't know. But I will go with carrying them around was a chore. Well, not anymore, they would live in the car!

So, I thought, I could get what I want. And I like the hinges on the Mag Fours, and the Pennys. So while not the same, but similar, the Half X came to mind. Maybe I can get those. Lightweight. Maybe I can get custom lenses for them, I think so.

THEN, tonight @THE X-MAN, I saw his stealth hidden rivet Penny customs and I lost my mind. While I know the rivets lead to a unique visual appeal... There was something special with those. I have an idea of how it is done, the imagination lacks the specifics but the finished product is amazing. Bravo! Bravo. Chef's Kiss. Linegear and Dillion makes a matte coated lens I have since learned from reading... For that very stealth look.

This is where I am torn. The little girl meme "why not both" plays in my head. I am not keen on removing a pair of polished Pennys from the world for my whim. I do think that some X-Metal Half X frames with some Prizm road black lenses would be awesome, Pennys too by the way...

Maybe I should get X Squared again? Prices seem to be fair here. Half X is not common. Everyone seems to be looking for a Penny. Juliets I have read are more common and available? *sigh*

How about this. I messaged Chris Hardaway about prescription lenses, he recommended Juliet and XX are the best for this, and he can also do Penny and XS. I had some Oakley prescription lenses made for MTB in Prizm trail from Oakley SI and they were the best lenses for clarity I have ever worn... Something about the curvature and adjusting for it, I don't know. I feel like I will go this route in the future, so I suppose that rules out Half X as he made no mention of them. And I get it, they are probably difficult to cut lenses for...

I realize no one knows me, but I am searching and reading, and posting here. As a watchmaker I will probably order parts to tune and tighten my Pennys myself. Unless... No, I can't possibly do that...

Why not just buy most of them and customise them to your liking? Today can be a stealth penny day, tomorrow can be a hyper polished penny day. One is never enough, just like watches right? Right.....? :)
Yes. I would do that if it were easy to do!
