The Video Games Thread

That's nice. You should be set for quite a while. I agree the extra $ for little return up front is not worth it. Okay maybe that system last longer as newer games come out.

The system we got for my son we can probably OC saftely 10-15% and squeak out a few extra FPS. I've been out of the OC'ing and PC building game for a while. His friends dad is helping us as their whole family is into gaming.

Exactly. The 10 series cards all will get you smooth 1080p gaming. The 1060 is very capable for respectable framerates up into 4k gaming. 10 series cards will be able to run games for a while. The new RTX 20xx series won't even have games to utilize the tech for several years. No point wasting money unless you are a professional gamer in competition or just like burning money.

IX was a great game. They really went back to the old feel of FFI-III imo.

VIII was very underrated, I think coming on the heels of VII it caught a lot of harsh criticism at the time, but the story was top notch.

Definitely and that card play hahahahaha
Playing it for hours lol

Anybody play Fallout 76? Have not heard good things. Result disappointed in Bethesda. Some games just don't belong as mmorpg's. Really enjoying Shadow of the tomb raider. The environments and storytelling is amazing. Next up will prolly be Red Dead. On the PC, believe it or not I keep finding myself going back to Skyrim and the million mods on Nexus.

Was never that in to Fallout. New Vegas was the high water mark for me in that series. Saw the plans for this one and said pass. There's lots of things that shouldn't be MMOs. But devs keep thinking that the next WoW is around the corner. *Spoiler Alert* - It's not. The good thing I've noticed is there seems to be a trend back to more single player or co-op games. There for a while you couldn't blink without some new MMO cropping up.

They breathed new life into Tomb Raider with the past few installments. I used to play Skyrim...till I took an arrow to the knee. Still a master class in gaming that one.
