The Video Games Thread

Any skate, skate 2 or skate 3 lovers here?

i started playing skater xl last month and it’s easily my favorite Skatebording game.

It was made to be more of a simulation of real skateboarding so the tricks are much more difficult to do.

I would definitely suggest it to anyone who likes skateboarding and to people who want to try!

Been playing Skyrim for over a week now and am really liking it. Seems like the main quest line moves along quickly, even though I’m doing a good amount of the side quests. I am doing it on one of the easier setting though as I have trouble with the live combat...I do better with turn based. (I get flustered easily in my old age. 😁)
Yeah i like that game, i have it on VR but maan i was puking afterwards....

i thought about trying that game in VR, but for some reason i have never been into games set in the middle ages. the game that made me uneasy lately was Stormland. it's an awesome game but it has that effect sometimes and i have to take breaks.

have you played half life alyx yet? i've been playing that and some of the call of duty style fps games a little lately. Onward is great if you don't have great VR legs yet. it's kinda slower paced. Zero Caliber has single player missions that are pretty fun.

i'm pretty excited for Star Wars Squadrons since it will have full VR support.

i've been using a Samsung Odyssey headset for a few years now, but last week i pre ordered the HP Reverb G2 that is supposed to come out next month.

I'm with you there, though I still play a lot of action games. Once you get some good followers (Tank, Healer) in Skyrim it makes it much easier. I'm pretty sure I was so addicted at one point that I did every side quest that existed as well as the expansion packs and some of the user added quests.

I’m totally old school. I’m completely down with all the bad guys in a line over there while my party lines up over here and then we take turns to hit each other 😂

Me, too. This game sort of reminds me of the Halo battle controls, which I hated and never really played much. It could be because my then 10 year old nephew would hunt me like a rabbit and destroy me before I could even find him! I disliked that kid so much during those moments.

I played Destiny for a while and it was wreaking havoc on my blood pressure!

I’d much rather play an RPG for its story and I’m not too proud to play on easy mode if it’s offered.

That said, I did get to grips with the combat in FFVII Remake and just finished Lightning Returns Final Fantasy XIII, both effectively more action game than turn-based.

So the FFVII is better than the original? I purchased the original and thought it lame. (I remember playing it waaay back when and it was good for that time, but by today's standard, it's not good)

I loved the original but also really enjoyed the remake. Gameplay is very different but the story beats are mostly the same. Definitely worth a play - PS4 exclusive at the moment.
