Triplewide Shelf Supports

For anyone whose ever bought a triplewide you know the shelf supports can often be missing. I've seen other members use a variety of supports to ensure the shelfs don't sag. A quick trip to Home Depot will net you a 4ft section of 3/8 aluminum rod. Throw it in a lathe and turn down the ends to fit the shelving and you've got something most people would assume is OEM. If you don't have a lathe you could also drill and tap the ends, then put a small 1/4-20 machine screw in the end to center the support. This is how we spend Sunday afternoon.

this thread showed up from another.. My Triple wide came without centers, I did the same. Bought the aluminum stock from home depot and took it to a machine shop. They had a minimum $35 charge, so they cut me out 4. perfect match
