If you only consider $ and not the watch, you are missing the point, especially with a Rolex. Great watches, but cost more because they say Rolex on the face. If we are talking about watches that are priced appropriately for the quality and artistry they exhibit, you are looking at Patek. Rolex movements are built in-house but they are stagnant as far as innovation and quality. ETA has equalled Rolex movements in the last 10 years in every way but Rolex stand on their laurels of being built in-house. The jump in price from a Tag to Rolex is unwarranted. To go from a Tag to a Patek, Audemars Piguet or Hublot is an actual step up that is real.Hardly an explanation. We will have to beg to differ. Having owned a Rolex Daytona, & down sizing my collection, I am left with multiple Tags & 3 B&R, to eventually sell. Tag use ETA Movement, usually top end for the price. $300
