New M3 sound? Nahhhh, old M3? Heck, yes. My favorite is e92 m3, that godly 8K RPM redline is pure bliss. Yes, expensive to maintain that due to known problems, but name another car besides GT350 that has a v8 and will rev to gloriously high redline like that under 70K USD.

New BMW M cars, frankly, are a disappointment. They are barely competing. The old M division needs to come back...

Yes I agree. I had an e36 m3 with a bunch of dinan engine and exhaust performance upgrades.
An e46 m3 and currently have 2 beasts e92 m3s and these 2 are v8s with a red line @8k I believe.

Those are sexy, well maintained and I honestly think these are going to be the next air cooled Porsche’s in terms of skyrocketing in value.
