What Are You Driving ?

been waiting 2 months for this hood that was on back order and it finally showed up today. other companies make the same "factory SRT8 hood" design carbon hood, but i wanted to wait for trufiber to make me one. theirs is the only version that uses the stock hood scoop bezel and the little details like that matter. hopefully i get it on the car before the last event of this summer "trunk or treat" at the route 66 raceway this weekend. i already used some knifeless tape and wrapped the edges in 3m 1080 gloss black metallic that matches the stock paint. then i ceramic coated it and it's curing overnight.

it's a little dark for pictures but the hood is installed on the car. i still need to install the mopar hood pin kit and re do the fender stripes. they need to back over the hood to where they were before, but i have a shade darker charcoal metallic vinyl so i'll just completely re do them. i didn't notice till i got in the driver seat, but the scoop is actually taller than the stock one was.

Nice looking Mopar bro!!! That hood kicks the MEAN up a couple notches!!!!!

maybe i shouldn't hog the thread so much, but i've just been excited about these parts the last few days. today i installed the mopar hood pin kit. i used the strikers from the black version of the mopar kit cause they are cool as hell, but used the rest of the parts from a black annodized hood pin kit so it could be all black and more stealthy. i didn't want silver pins or locks. it feels real ****ty to use a hole saw on a brand new hood, but it came out great. now i just need to put new fender stripes on. but i'll save that for a warmer day.
