What Are You Driving ?

My daily driver SRT4 is manual, but on the weekends the last thing I wanna do is row gears in my Challenger with my family lol...

For the last 2 weekends, I've driven my SRT4 with my family and I just feel weird when they all lurch forward during "psssshhhhh shifting" (turbo y'all !!!)...

Plus, it's not as smooth or comfortable as my SRT Challenger, for obvious reasons...

I'm like Takumi Fujiwara not spilling a drop my shifts are so smooth. Never won't own a manual again, unless my racecar dreams are realized and I get some WRC action in my driveway. Mmmmmm, Rally

My shifts are smooth too, but unless your shifting at 1000 RPMS, your passengers are gonna lurch forward every time you put the clutch in lol...

I've driven 4 vehicles with the NAG1 - never had any issues whatsoever, but I also kept my cars "mostly" stock...

But the 8speed is something special...lightning quick and seemless shifting, especially in sport and track modes...

Can't even feel the shifting - you just hear the backfire from the exhaust...

I wide open throttle my wife's car and its sooooo laggy :(

I actually hate driving her car now lol...

i like the Nag1 in my SRT8 Charger way more than the 8 speed in my Ram R/T. although that is because the Nag1 has Mercedes AMG blue top shift solenoids, Paramount Performance "Dominator" billet stator stall converter, and a Mopar Performance trans control module. also runs through 3.55 gears and a Wavetrac mechanical LSD though and i never let it shift it's own gears though. lol.

the 8 speed isn't bad though. best stock trans i have ever had, it just sucks that it stalls at such a low speed. an aftermarket stall would be amazing with that trans. 1st and 2nd gear in the 8 speed are both lower geared than 1st is in the Nag1. that's how that heavy ass truck gets 5 second 0-60's stock. pretty crazy for a stock truck that is that heavy.

people with the 8 speed Ram R/T's and Jay Green tunes are getting 12.9's-13.1's on just intake, and a tire. insane in something that heavy with that little amount of mods.

I tell people all the time: "the ZF was the greatest thing to happen to these big ass boats"

4500lb cars running mid 12's (SRT)...

Love my 8speed, but I also love me some of this on occasion ;)

Speaking of knobs...been strongly considering a weighted shift knob, but I really don't know if a TWM or WC is worth it at well over $100. I get that it'd probably make for a smoother action, but with this truck of a transmission, it's not like I'd be trying to shift any faster on top of that.

Outside of the custom pieces, I am kinda being a bit of a snob (JDM bro). Only alternative is Nismo buttpplug shape. Meh.

Silver lining: it's dual purpose!!! ;)
