Anyone know the background on the Tank? Looks like some variant of BMP.

That sounds vaguely familiar. I was at the U.S. Embassy in Budapest in the late 90s. Lots of Soviet era tanks and vehicles all over the region. I was able to drive and fire more than a few variants over my years there

The pic is a Hungarian BMP…I got to drive and fire some rounds down range sometime between 1997-2000.
