What Really Grinds Your Gears?

Airbags will kill a small child in the front seat.

But back then you were the crumple zone, not part of the car designed for the job.

I dunno what DOT standards are... I'm convinced they're similar to Transport Canada standards ...

A child may use the front seat even if equipped with an air bag... They may not be placed in fear facing child seats (unless vehicle is equipped with a factory installed airbag cutoff)

To sit without a seat/booster/additional restraint... Child must measure at least 63cm from rump to crown...

True. It is good to see how far things have come. Just makes you think how things were so different back then.

Yup, yup, yup, yup, and yup...

IDK, maybe nobody else cares about this but one thing that's always bugged me is the casual use of real names on this forum.

Yes, there are those who use their real names as their handles. And there are some who's real name is already widely known / publicly posted; obviously they don't care. And maybe sometimes a member's already been privately told my another member that using their real name publicly is fine. IDK.

But otherwise we sometimes get the chance to learn each others' real names through sales/purchases, PMs, txts, face-to-face meetups, etc. And the next thing you know somebody's responding to somebody else's post and using their real name. That should be treated as privileged information; one should always check with the person first if posting it publicly is okay.

Remember, public posts are not restricted to being viewed by forum members only; any d!ckhead with an internet connection can anonymously read this stuff. And TMI can make someone a target.

If nothing else, it's common courtesy.
