Different shipment, my latest tracking status on a package sent priority 2-day on the 16th. For some reason I'm not feeling real confident that I'll find these waiting for me when I get home...

So on my route to work there's this one right turn, it's at a light but it has its own turn lane. That turn lane doesn't merge into an existing lane but starts a new lane that goes down for a couple of blocks before becoming right-turn only. So there's no traffic to yield to; all the cross traffic is in other lanes, you just turn and merge over within a couple of blocks.

Yet it has a yield sign. Why? Because there is a marked bicycle lane that crosses it, to keep the bike lane at the far right. That's the only reason the yield sign is there, to yield to bikes. But there is no official legal "yield to bikes" streetsign so it's just a normal yield sign.

EVERY DAY driving to work there'll be a dumbf*ck or two in front of me who comes to a full stop and waits for all the traffic to pass by before going. Even though their lane is empty. But there's a yield sign... Who are you yielding to?!?!? Use your head!!!

I'm thinking maybe some people do and there is nothing that grinds their gears about them.

Only as a recipient, usually - UPS is great at leaving things at the door with no hassle, but sometimes things are a little beat up. Fedex is great but expensive. We use them at work, though.

I traded a big pile of laser tag stuff to a member in CA. I just brought it all loose into the Fedex store and said, "ship it here". They properly boxed and packed it all and sent it reliably on it's way. For $100...

I can't stand my USPS guy. He took a package clearly marked FRAGILE up my walkway and toosed it to my door at least 10-15 feet. He is so lucky I wasn't home at the time or he would have ended up under my walkway.

Fedex and UPS? They are gentle with every single thing they drop off at my door regardless of markings.
