Airport food, a massive oyster po-boy from Landry's, pretty good...

Hotel food, bacon cheeseburger. It was alright...

Hotel food, braised beef short ribs. Quite tasty, one of the few winners on an otherwise mediocre menu...

Airport food, Tonkotsu ramen. It was alright but I've had better...

Airport food, crawfish platter (half fried and half etouffee, with dirty rice) from Papadeaux. Excellent as always...

Your eating a lot better in a airport than I ever have lol. I usually just grab some overpriced fast food.

I find a lot depends on the airport, some have nothing better than fast food. Fiumicino (Rome) had quite a selection in the food court and I had a great poached egg and avocado breakfast at Heathrow last time out but JFK is pretty poor for food (and my only experience of a US airport). Berlin Tegel has almost nothing worth eating.

Berlin Tegel, I second that one...

Over here sometimes it's not even which airport, which terminal in the airport can make a difference. Often the fanciest stuff is in the international terminals but not exclusively.

And now there's this new "OTG" system places are installing over here, you have a tablet mounted at each seat and do all you ordering and payment through it. Also offers games and flight status. They're even putting them in the gate waiting areas and they deliver your order from nearby shops.

Newark is completely converted, Houston is in the middle of it.

The terminal thing happens here too. LHR T5 is better than T3 in just about every regard, but definitely in terms of food. Not tried the Gordon Ramsay place there, he’s spread too thin so I’m not sure how much he actually does with Plane Food.

The lounges can vary a lot too. BA Galleries in Rome you might think would have decent food, but I reckon I got better in Cape Town a week earlier, despite South Africa not having much of a food rep.
