Last Sat, The Wife wanted to go eat Chinese. The Kid, however, adamantly demanded Japanese.

Then The Wife tricked her a bit when we got in the car; "Do you want to eat shumai / pork patty?"

"Yes!"

And off we went to the Chinese place, where those things are found...

Even though the drive was much longer and in a different direction, The Kid sat in the back without complaint. Then, when we pulled into the shopping center with the restaurant, we hear from the back...

"Hey! What are we doing here?!?" :D

A noodle dish:

Some honkin' big oysters steamed in black bean sauce, were live when ordered:

Steamed whole Tilapia, was live when ordered; I forgot to take a pic when first served so this was what was left by the time I remembered. Yes, when served a whole fish, what does The Wife eat first? Fins, head, and tail... :idk:

First of all, who puts chives on oysters :D ;)

Secondly, I have to confess I've never had a whole fish and eaten anything other than the portion of the body you'd normally fillet. I've had soups that use the head and fins for flavor, but again I've never actually eaten those parts. What exactly does she eat? And how?
