What's On Your Plate???

What's your recipe for that? I've got a good one to try...
I don't have one because I've never done it until today. The wife got some kind of spiral slicer to review so I figured I'd try it out and just tossed in what we had. A little oil, garlic, salt, pepper, zucchini, yellow squash, some sweet peppers and parsley. Cooked over medium high heat for some unknown amount of time, not particularly fond of how it cooks in that form. It was good but the cook wasn't as even as it would be if I chopped everything normally.

Mine has you grate the zucchini and yellow squash, but I bet it'd work with that spiral sliced stuff...

Sprinkle the shredded stuff with a few tsps of salt and let sit in a strainer in the sink for 20 mins or so. Then squeeze as much moisture out of it as you can; just grab fistfuls and pretend it's that co-worker who's pissing you off...

Heat a couple TBs of butter in a pan over med-high heat. Saute about a TB of diced shallots for 30 secs or so then add the zucchini/squash. Mix it all up and cook through, not too long, maybe five minutes.

Simple and delicious.

Some carrot, celery, onion, baby corn, mushrooms, okra, cilantro...

Salt, pepper, garlic, and precious, precious saffron...

Fish/seafood broth, chicken broth, extra-virgin olive oil; simmer for 1/2 hour...

1/2 cup uncooked white rice, simmer another 15 mins. 1 cup wide egg noodles, simmer another 5 mins. 4 TBs corn starch in a slurry, bring to boil. Add squid, octopus, mussels, shrimp, catfish nuggets, oysters...
