What's On Your Plate???

FWIW sour ale and lemon garlic turkey jerky are amazing together. I'm less angry about the Chili's thing now.

I moved here at my wife's request to be closer to her mom. I've made some friends here but I usually find myself being rather cynical towards everyone else because they all pretend to follow what you tell them and really have no clue what you are talking about.

It's tough right now because my son is getting ready to start school and I don't want to be that guy that hauls his family all over the place just for a change of scenery but I feel like I've already done about all that can be done in this area. The money is good but I just waste it on stupid **** to try and forget where I live. Then I come home to my awesome 6Mb internet and resist the urge to buy a gun and run through the middle of town with it.
Work at the post office first then buy the gun?

OMGOSH. 6Mb internet would be reason enough to leave.

Yeah, I have the city to thank for that. They've kept out everyone else and won't let them build networks here. More than likely I'll be going back to my LTE based internet that I had set up in Arlington soon. Tmobile finally upgraded to LTE here and its testing out around 50Mb. I can work with that. I can also route it through my home so that it works no differently than a regular ISP without having to pay extra for it. Technology ftw.

All the utilities including internet are all provided by one source, the city. They've somehow blocked all competitors from entering the town and competing with them for power, water, cable tv, internet, trash, and sewer service. You'd think with a monopoly and a small town they could at least get reliable stuff going but no. They offer 30Mb, 8Mb, and 3Mb packages, all are way over priced and I swear to god they are out more than they are on. I tried it for a few months when I moved here with the 30Mb and HELL NO (random- just realized the chromebook has no caps lock key LOL) they don't work for ****. I was able to get AT&T DSL on a fluke because we are so close to Missouri and AT&T was contracted to run the lines in the area years ago. The bitch of it all is that less than 30 mins from me a town with a smaller population and a similar utility set up has full fiber internet to every home at rock bottom prices and whatever speed you want they'll sell you. Example- They quoted me $35/mo for 75Mb down and 25Mb up. Yeah, really.

Boo Arkansas.

i think illegals that live in trailer parks around the Houston area have more than 6mb of internet lol......

Damn. That Sucks. I thought it was bad having only Comcast and CenturyLink to choose from for Internet. I only have city utilities so I hear ya, @digi7alph0enix.
