What's On Your Plate???

Decided to try both ends of the Tabasco range.

Bit disappointed with both, to be honest. Didn't get much flavour from the jalapeño one and the habanero tasted much like normal Tabasco, without any of the extra fruitiness you might expect from habaneros. Not markedly hotter either.
Yeah, I don't mess with Tabasco. Not enough heat. I like Tapatío (just hot sauce without the fluff and it's a buck at the Dollar Tree) lol

Yeah, I hoped the habanero one would up its heat game but still fell short for me.

I was a Tabasco fan for many years but for a long time now my favorite has been Cholula. Just has more body, a more complex flavor. Tasty.
Somewhat surprisingly, Cholula is available at the supermarket I shop in, in both original and chipotle varieties. Might have to give it a go once these Tabascos are a bit more used up.

Speaking of surprises, meeting some of The Wife's old friends for lunch today, I was surprised to find myself at a Western-food restaurant. Had the "big breakfast":

Bacon, sausage, steak, mushrooms, beans, spinach, sourdough toast, hash brown, two eggs (poached), hollandaise, tomato...

But, despite being Western, it was not American. Instead, Australian...

At our local grocery store, we can choose from Cholula, Tapatio and Valentina...

They're the best for anything ever...
