So we have an unusually good supply of local avocados this year and a few of the folks in the office have avocado trees in their backyards. So it's not that unusual to show up for work and find and avocado or two waiting at one's desk (as the guys unload them to avoid them going bad). One of my employees left me this monstrosity on Monday... Tinfoil is next to it to show the scale of the avocado's size.

So today finally the avocado is ready to be served. So I made these Mahi Mahi tacos. Corn tortillas, seasoned breaded mahi mahi, finely diced tomatoes, squeeze of lime, cotija cheese and avocado slices. Hmmmmm...

Local Hawaiian food: Pipikaula (beef), Kalua (whole pig cooked in an underground pit), laulau (fish wrapped in taro leaves), sweet potato, and rice. Above is soy sauce, chili water and haupia (coconut dessert).
