Did a chicken pot pie from scratch on Saturday.

Boiling potatoes and carrots while browning the chicken...

Sautéing onion in butter...

Which has flour added to make a roux, then chicken broth and milk (along with some seasoning) to make a thick gravy...

Vegetables and chicken mixed in...

Rolled out puff pastry sheet lining a #8 (10 5/8") cast iron skillet then the filling spooned in...

Topped with another rolled out puff pastry sheet then brushed with melted butter...

Baked...

Served....

Eaten...
