Aloha everyone!

It's been years since I've collected, but was a highly active member on the O-Review with my ex (O-Whores), and was a fortunate to have found myself as the only female to be a 2009 Co-Pilot. I loved getting to put faces to usernames, and create lasting friendships with folks and know that forums and the relationships created are sacred and deserve to be respected so I hope to do my best in what I'm trying to accomplish. As I've fallen on hard times, and it's unfortunately time to let go of the collection. Rather than being "that person" that takes it straight to eBay I'd rather see these pieces go to folks that I know will genuinely appreciate them as I know how terrible the grind is to find your coveted pieces and think I might have some stuff folks would love to add to their collection.

Over the next several weeks/months I'll be posting up items I have for sale. Here's a quick look at some of the more difficult to find pieces I have:
  • Brown Juliet
  • 24K Japan Exclusive Juliet
  • Rep Exclusive White Text Gascan
  • Copper Penny
  • Ruby Clear Unknown Asian Fit
  • OTT
  • Matt Kenseth Splice
  • Mars
  • Ruby Clear Why 3
  • Several X-Metals
  • Display Cases & Stands
I'm going to study up on the exchange guidelines to get myself reacquainted and look forward to connecting with some of you!

-Dawn

Sorry about your situation. Hopefully you can get it all figured out. Can’t wait to see the sales. I didn’t know you when you were a collector years ago but you have a great collection.

Welcome back Dawn! Terrible to know that you'll have to part with your prized collections due to unprecedented situations. I just wish those lucky recipients later would cherish them as you have. I am a new collector and would love to have some of your pieces if given the chance. Be safe.

Thanks Titan X! I like seeing that other collectors are still holding it down and enjoying something I once loved so much. Now I apparently love paying bank notes and eating to stay alive. It's annoying. LOL

Welcome Dawn and sorry you have fallen on hard times, you have allot of really nice items
Thanks for the sentiment, Nortika. I'm looking forward to getting these to great new homes. Makes me miss the anticipation of a new delivery.

Welcome to the addiction! I see myself as fortunate to have something/anything that can help me during this time, even though it was a tough decision to make since every piece has a story and some great memories attached to it. When I was first starting out, so many OR members helped me from all over the globe and I see this as a way that I can pay it forward. I hope that you'll be able to snag a few of the pieces I have. It'll just be a little bit till I get the photos done and figure out pricing, etc. Take care!

Mahalo @Guavalani808 !

Glad to have you active on this forum. Sounds like you have quite the history with Oakley.
I am in no way meaning to talk you out of selling anything, but would counsel you to keep a few of your favorites, no matter how hard times have been.

how is Maui these days? Is there still a 14 day lockdown?

also perhaps other forum members could help you with job stuff as well? O peeps look out for each other. 🍻 (I’m serious!)

Sorry to hear about your current situation.
Nice of you to think of unloading on the forum instead of eBay first.
Hoping between now and you planning to publish in the exchange, some positive changes develop that will help you reverse your decision.
Good luck.

@DaysOfNoah (thanks for the @ tip, it's been so long since I've been on a forum, there's so many new fangled features LOL #oldpersonproblems) You are awesome! I have definitely been the recipient of O fan generosity and kindness, it's an incredible community for sure. I'm fortunate to have been brought back to full-time employment during all this, but unfortunately my health isn't so great and is requiring lots of money. So here I be.

Not going to lie, Maui's been amazing without tourists. LOL Traffic isn't so trafficy and the beaches are almost empty (unless there's surf), it really reminds me a lot of what it was like as I was growing up here. 14-day quarantine for out-of-state travelers will change come the 15th. Folks can travel to Maui, Kaua'i, and O'ahu (not Hawai'i island as their county has opted-out) and avoid the quarantine if they have proof of a negative test result within 72-hours of their travel. But it's changing every day (this program was supposed to start August 1 originally), so honestly while our economy needs tourism, I wouldn't recommend anyone to plan a trip here anytime soon as it would absolutely suck to buy a ticket and have these decisions reversed before you get here, and even if you do get here so many businesses are shut down and need bigger numbers to justify reopening. My husband's family has been stuck in the book, cancel, rebook cycle since March.

@Manish Thank you for your well wishes. As DaysOfNoah suggested, I'll likely at least hold on to a few pieces that are near and dear to me.
