2012 transitionsWhat is the best lens color for tennis?
Im curious what lens tints the pros such as Tipsarevic and Stoesur use as they always wear oakleys for matches.
I think its one of the rose based colors.
I also assume they dont use polarized given the issues with depth.
Perhaps prescription transitions, Rx for sure according to this. The sunglasses worn by Janko Tipsarevic on court today were these Oakley Fast Jacket XL sunglasses (with the slightly larger lenses) in colour option 915610 – Polished White with Photochromic lenses, ideal for the changing conditions out on court.
FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., Sept. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Oakley, Inc. today announced that tennis pro Janko Tipsarevic relied on Oakley's groundbreaking new prescription lens technology as he defeated number-nine ranked Andy Roddick in the second round of the U.S. Open Tournament. Oakley True Digital™ corrective lenses with Oakley Dual-Peripheral Technology™ gave Tipsarevic unparalleled levels of precision and accuracy in vision as he advanced to the third round for the first time in his career. He is among the first athletes to utilize the new technology on the world stage. Oakley True Digital eyewear is scheduled to launch in North America in the fourth quarter of this year.
Oakley Enduring frames with Positive Red Iridium lenses is just one of many sunglasses.
Oakley Enduring sunglasses are Stosur's go-to favorite. The white frame option speaks to her personal style, and she relies on Oakley Photochromic lenses in competition. "The Photochromic lens has been my favorite since I first wore it, for the simple fact that you can start playing a match in complete sunlight and then the clouds come over before you know it, and it's a lot darker," stated Stosur on her lens choice.
It depends on the court. Grass courts are green. I'd think you'd not want to accent the court for tennis the same way you'd need to for golf. Golf requires reading the course, tennis requires following and reacting to the ball.I know the g series g30 is made for gulf to bring out the blues and greens. Aren't tennis courts green? Ball kinda of greenish/yellow?
