Oakley X-Metal Authenticity Checklist

I was going to weigh a stripped-down OEM frame and a fake one, but I do not think that is necessary. I have weighed all of my Juliets and they were 42 g (+/- 1 g for a couple frames). The fake weighed in at a hefty 56 g! The lenses were only 1 g different as well. So if your frames weigh 50 g+... they are fake!:( (At least this fake)

Great info there. Does you have the weight of an X-squared?

Just wanted to say thanks to the OP for this post, I have just bought a pair of XS, used the pictures on here and confirmed they were authentic, thanks :)

Hey guys, just checking on what to look for with half-x's as the is no nose-bridge piece. Im assuming torx screws for arms and lenses but is there anything else one could use to quickly idenify a fake
