Question on juilet lens colors

Only the slightest bit of micro dust on the iridium rubbed in with microfibre will give nasty swirly 'cleaning marks' people call them

Thanks for the tips.

I'd really like to replace the lenses with another pair of OEM ice. Any thoughts on where the best place to buy those lenses are? Also I'm a little afraid of replacing them myself.

OK that's not the best advice. Your MF bags are the best cleaning media.

Yes, dirt and grit can get stuck in them and cause cleaning swirls. You have to keep your bags clean, i.e. wash them.

Personally I keep a couple of OEM cleaning kits and use the MF cloth with those. Keeping those cloths in their case and only using them for cleaning keeps them cleaner than the MF bags that get exposed to more dirt through regular use. Then always using the cleaning fluid helps clean away the oils and grime more easily, with less rubbing and thus less chance of cleaning marks.

No matter how soft a kleenex may feel, it's still made of wood fibers.

What He Said ^^^^^^^^^

I was just ready to reply the same to this re using Kleenex instead of the Microfibre bag. As K said, keep the bags clean ! Wash them out very regularly in mild soapy water and only clean your lenses using the inside of the bag (gently while glasses are inside, its very easy).
.
I once bought a pair of pre owned juliets from Ebay, started washing the bag and this thing was BROWN as hell, the water literally ran like dog mess for about 2 minutes till it finally cleared. I was actually shocked and initially thought a colour dye must have been coming out. Disgusting indeed and imagine what even a small amount of dirt will do to these high quality lenses.

Please, no tissue paper

Use an old well worn tee shirt...Kleenex is made from paper...and paper scratches

I'm with the old guard except for The X Man- I use only Oakley microfiber items and wash them every month or so.
I've never scratched a lens using a clean microfiber but dirty? Sure, I could see that. Picking up and trapping dirt, etc is what microfiber is supposed to do.
You're responsible for getting the dirt out through cleaning.

Look. Listen. Chrome-dome seems like just some chrony hired by Oakley to act like the be-all-and-ends all of knowledge of how to clean lenses.

I've owned 3 g*ddamn pairs of Oakley shades, all of which came with the micro-fibre cloth.

Oh yes, his human predictability will tell you to wash the micro-fibre bag.

BUT. washing the bag separates the threads which make up it's molecular structure.

Test it yourself. Buy THE most expensive box of Kleenex ($5 at MOST), and tell me which feels softer.

On another note, I wonder how much chrome-dome get's paid to shill for the micro-fibre bag. I say throw it out, and buy the Vault.

DONE

Oakley actually has the fire iridium polarized lenses in stock for 99 dollars.

That's more than they cost retail  Couple legit sellers on eBay have brand new OEM Juliet lenses for sale around $70.00.
