On topic: From across the pond, I have been following what happened yesterday not with disbelieve, not with surprise, but with horror nonetheless. I sincerely hope that, as time goes by, in retrospect this day will be seen as a positive turning point in the recent history of America's democracy.

That's an even dumber argument, the EU never made the UK agree to allow non-citizens (or non documented refugees) to stay at all. Gutting the border force and immigration services was entirely our government's doing, voting against the EU over that is like cutting your fingers off to mend a broken toe.

Do you own a business? I don’t make crap after all the taxes I have to pay. Until you own a business you can’t talk on this matter. If you want to stay afloat and make money you keep your money where the laws allow you. Do you want to pay in 4K, 2k, 1k, or none cause if your handing money back to the government that wastes it for nonsense... I’m over here with my hands open, I could use some. Now if they were putting the money into schools and important things I’d change my mind but all they do is line the pockets of other country’s,their family, and their friends. They use to do it through loopholes but they don’t care any more they show you the dumb shet they do. They’ve gotten away with it so long it it doesn’t matter to them anymore. I also live in Minnesota home of taxin walz where they had a surplus of a billion dollars but wanted the fed to pay to repair the city they let criminals burn to the ground.

I do not, but this was not intended to be a statement about Tax reform but my intent was to show that running a government is not the same as running a business and Trump's bully business tactics don't work in government. He did not understand that the Georgia governor or the VP did not have the power to change the election results. This fueled his frustration and he then fueled his radical followers to stage an insurrection of the Capitol.
