Curious about this pair of X Squares

Recently purchased this pair of X Squares and curious about something, I noticed the earstems and bridge appear slightly darker than the frames and wondering If there's any aftermarket parts at play. Lenses are Linegear replacements. When I bought then I checked a legit guide and they passed every test, right serial, right bridge, right weight and everything but I still find it a little strange thag the frames seem slightly lighter. Has anyone else had this issue? Thanks 1000000052.jpg

So the parts were made in "lots" and then assembled and stamped. The parts did not necessarily all get produced on the same day so sometimes you do run into the orbitals fading out faster than the nose bridge or ear stems. I do also think people will replace the nose bridge sometimes as especially on the XS you can strip the screws out pretty easy if your not 100% bright. Have seen this as well... X metals were a funny thing and some were made out of left over parts towards the end. I have a square arm XX that testifies to that...

Yeah, i’ve got an XS with two different orbitals. One warranty and one standard.

I always am mystified by the juliets with old plasma and one side is tarnished more than the other... it makes me wonder how people accomplish that. Like did they throw a wet towel over 1/2 of it and leave it for 4 years and rediscover it one day and throw it on ebay?
