Metal Vs Regular Holbrook Lenses

Looking to pick up my first pair of Holbrooks sometime in the near future, and came across the metal version during my search. I never knew these were a thing. After looking at many different pictures and reading various threads, I'm curious as to whether regular Holbrook lenses will fit the metal version due to the slight variances in size and shape of the frames. I tried doing some Google searching but couldn't find a conclusive answer. Anyone care to chime in? I'd appreciate it, thanks!

I've had both versions, and I can tell you the regular O matter frame lenses will not fit the Metal version, the Metal lenses look wider and less curvy

Good to know. Anyone else care to chime in? I prefer the look of the metal version personally, but the options for OEM and aftermarket lenses for the O Matter version are almost limitless.

You can trust @Fresh on this one. He's a veteran. No need to enquire further! His word is good enough for me.

P.S. In any case, if eBay sellers knew they fit the metal Holbrooks, they'd be marketing them as such to increase their selling potential.

I have both metal and omatter brooks and can tell you NO they will not work for either frame.

Good luck in your search and should you be ready to purchase and meet the Forum requirements I have a pair of metal brooks for sale in the exchange section.

The metal frame lenses have a groov all the way round that the frame fits into and the o matter Holbrook lens sits inside the frame totally different
