Found it. No definitive answer though. This is an Xmetal finish and that was a carbon. CRAP if this is a new found thing, I'll have to start collecting them!

The carbon pair didn't have shonky spacing on the size, 55 O21, but otherwise looks similar...

Yeah I think this is the same thing as in the thread SiRacer420 found, custom engraving by the same guy. If there was a better explanation, it would have turned up by now.

yep seen it before on some Filipino oakley collector groups being discussed. the frames are legit but the etching is neither confirmed nor denied.
