"Ok, what kind of 'once upon a time' story do you want tonight?"

"Tell me a fairy story, Daddy, like Tinkerbell."

"Allright, once upon a time there was a little boy named Joey..."

[interrupting] "why not a little girl named [The Kid]?"

"Because this is about a boy and Joey is a boy and you're a girl."

"Oh, ok..."

"Once upon a time there was a little boy named Joey. He went to school, played with his friends, and did everything that kids normally do. But deep down inside, he felt different somehow, and didn't know why.

He got older and bigger and continued to go to school and hang out with his friends and play sports and just be one of the guys. But he still felt different inside, and had started having strange thoughts. He kept those thoughts to himself, but they bothered him and he eventually decided to tell one of his friends to see what he thought.

'Are you kidding me? Do you really not know what this is? It's been obvious to all of us for years,' his friend said.

'What?' asked Joey.

'Well, you're a fairy!'

Aha! It all made sense now! He was a fairy! And the more he thought about it, the more he wanted to explore his fairy ways. Sure, sports were fun and all that, but what he really wanted to do was... dance. So he danced - he stood on his tip toes; he twirled around, he leapt in the air and kicked out his legs and waved his arms...

And people loved his dancing. And he became a successful dancer. And he met the love of his life, who was also a fairy. And they had a fairy wedding and had their fairy love...

And life was good. Because, instead of trying to pretend to be what he was not, Joey had chosen to live his life as he was, a fairy.

And.. they... lived...

Happily ever after..."

(I love a good double entendre, especially when the primary audience doesn't get it, but others listening might... :D)
