The one good thing I got out of this experience is that I lost the insurance that was on my line. I was prompted to make a selection. I declined the insurance because I didn't want to pay $7.15 per month...my old coverage was $5.18. Called CS yesterday and they couldn't put the old insurance price on there. Oh well. If the Note 4 breaks, I will probably pay $200 to fix it or find a new phone lol
Don't worry....your new one is on the way. :p

I like it when reading my own posts makes me laugh.

So my cell service at work has been absolutely horrible lately. It's never been good, but I had certain spots that I could go that I knew I'd get LTE, certain places that I knew I'd get reliable HSPA data, and I got basic call and text service in all but a couple spots with brief periods of no service that would go away on their own. For the past couple weeks I've had to hunt for service of any kind, often getting stuck with nothing in places that it shouldn't be a problem in. I understand that its very hard for radio waves to penetrate the building I work in reliably, but jesus. It's not like it never worked, but it just keeps getting worse and that pisses me off.

So anyway, I went out today and bought a cheap Verizon LTE phone just to see the difference, if any, between them and AT&T where I work. I've tried Tmobile since that's who I really liked when I was in the DFW area and its an absolute no go at work, no service anywhere. That's the be expected since they use much higher frequencies than ATT and Verizon, but I'm really hoping that 700mhz block from Verizon gives the extra building penetration needed to get at least reliable voice and text service. Data would be a huge plus too since on nights that I have good orders I spend a good deal of time on here and other sites.

So it looks like I'll be toting around 2 phones again for at least a couple weeks. If it turns out that Verizon is a substantial upgrade to what I'm using now I'll probably pick up a G4, Nexus 6, or something similar. Ideally I'd like to stay with something made by LG since I love the rear mounted buttons and the knock on features.

Speaking of Verizon: They sent me an email, a notice in my bill, and alerts in my online account notifying me that I need to renew my state employee discount. Damn! It is crazy that some folks need to be prompted so many times. Upside: at least they didn't take forever to look at the proof.

I will be glad when my Note 4 gets back to me. I need my apps!

I'm torn on whether I really want Verizon to work out. I love my G Flex and all the features of it that people write off as gimmicks really work for my daily life. If I have to I can get another LG phone like the G4/G3, but I won't be happy about it. I considered a note 4 too but I've never been a fan of the screen tech that samsung uses. I need to look into whether the Nexus 6 has any type of smart waking features. I doubt it does, and I wouldn't be happy about losing the rear buttons, but if it has knock on or something similar I can make due.

You can't unlock it and use it on AT&T? Or does it not have all the bands? Or is AT&T a no go in the boondocks? IF AT&T works, they do have the G Flex 2.
