My IS arrived Friday...
I have to say, the machining on this is incredible. The new tooling certainly does allow further intricacies. The biohazard symbol really stands up from the disk, and the tips are sharp! I don't just mean they look sharp, they're literally sharp...
I had to think about how he machined that - my best guess is he machined the symbol on the top of a solid disk, then hollowed it out from the underside...
I'm getting pretty good spin times, too, nice and stable. From what had been said I wasn't expecting the best performance but it does well.
I still wish I had gotten the reverse colorway SS/Cu/SS, but it's my own dang fault, wasting time going after a superconductor instead of going directly for the SS/Cu/SS. I just didn't expect the standard materials to sell out so fast...
