Well said and that my thoughts exactly it's just not how I want to spend $900!For me, whether or not the price is justified doesn't matter. It's more personal, whether or not I'm willing to spend that much on a top, regardless of what the top is. And that one's above my ceiling. Same reason why I expect I'll never buy a C6 - regardless of what it is and what it's worth, that more than I'm willing to pay for a pair of sunglasses. Tops or sunglasses, I don't resell stuff so these aren't investments, they're purchases. Already I've paid $300 for tops and $600 for sunglasses, and that's about as crazy as I'll get.
And again, even if I was willing to drop that sort of coin I wouldn't have the opportunity. If he does a production run of 40 tops and his FB group is 4900 people, only 0.8% of those people will be able to buy them. Less than 1%. I'm sure there's enough people in that group with the will and the means to sell out the production run, despite the price.
To be clear (because text is so impersonal), there's no gripe or disagreement here. I'm neither complaining nor have any hard feelings, just expressing why one of these is not for me. It's a great looking top and if its price and availability was in my range I'd certainly go for it. Instead, I'll hang around waiting for the next one.
