That BIP lens is a Water Jacket lens that I believe was released on one SKU. They put the O on it because with the venting there was no where to write out polarized. Good stuff!

awesome bit of lore. i typically associated the O with prescription type lenses and was worried when i first got them, but after wearing and knowing my 20/20 vision had zero strain.. i was quite relieved.

As a general rule an RX lens will have the O engraved on the front. These will have the O printed on the lens instead.
