I don’t understand how people can’t see the difference between the first two examples and the second two. If you just take a quick look, sure they all look the same. But if you really look at them, it is clear the first two are completely different then the second two examples. It’s like people have an aversion to admitting counterfeits are out there and their tech is getting better. I understand it can be unsettling to see fakes with serial numbers because some of us, like me, relied on that aspect to determine authenticity.
My only question was if Oakley had released some models with a different type of logo on the bridge. I am also aware that they say every X-Metal is a little bit different. I didn’t really think the debate would be that the sunken logos are actually raised.
I showed 2 pics of example of sunken logos and 2 pics of raised. I never asked anyone if the logos were sunken or not. I know for a fact that the first example is sunken, it’s not even a question. The fact that everyone wanted to get on here and argue about the logos is on them, I never asked about that, and I shouldn’t have even joined in. I never even asked anyone to tell if any of those pics were examples of counterfeits or authentic Oakleys. I asked a very simple question and provided examples for context. The question has now been answered and an appreciate those answers. Anyone else wanting to argue about raised or sunken go for it. I know for a fact that one example is of a sunken logo.No you just can’t see the
Let me get this straight you show us 4 pictures, all 4 show not sunken logos! When we say they are not we don’t see fakes! Really maybe it is you that need to get your eyes fixed, cause even the serial number look correct to me. But hell what do we know, we are only dedicated to authentic Oakley group here
Thanks for being so friendly though. Be safe!Did Oakley ever release any Romeo 1’s that didn’t not have a raised “X” insignia and came with clearly sunken “X”’s?
But the point that they were made via single use moulds, has credence to our assertion that all four pictures feature nothing different to the hundreds of thousands of the same mould.I showed 2 pics of example of sunken logos and 2 pics of raised. The fact that your on this forum, I’m sorry, but it doesn’t automatically make you a photo forensic expert and it also doesn’t make you an Oakley expert. In fact now I’m a bit more concerned that people on here seem to have a “protect the fort” mentality and jump to conclusions. Look at you trying to tear me down and you missing the question entirely, you never even addressed the actual question.
Thanks for being so friendly though. Be safe!
Whose expert opinion do I take because there have been members on here who said the logo was sunken as well. And one member who stated the serial numbers looked “laser etched” so…., even when going against the group isn’t comfortable. But hell what do we know, we are only dedicated to authentic Oakley group
But not all four frames had to come from the same manufacturer or mold, obviously. Just because they look the same doesn’t make them the same. That’s the point behind counterfeits. But again that wasn’t even my question. But the point that they were made via single use moulds, has credence to our assertion that all four pictures feature nothing different to the hundreds of thousands of the same mould.
