Romeo coin 97 vs 98

Hi O bros.
I would like to know about the Romeo coins, why are there 2 different dates? Maybe 97 belongs to the "jordan" one and the 98 came with the regular one?
Or maybe one of them belongs to the Romeo 2?

You are correct the 97 was for the 4 digit Romeo and the 98 is for the next gen Romeo, I think they may have been thinking of doing a new year for each gen but then decided not too.

Just looked at seven of mine; six were '97 and only one was a '98.

I looked at mine and it’s 97 but it’s not a Jordan Romeo. It has more than 4 serial digits.
