Mine have been stuck in France since Saturday 15th, going back and forth between Paris and Le Mensil. They went to Le Mensil, got cleared, went back to Paris, sat in Paris since 5am yesterday, then at 9.35 pm yesterday went back to Le Mensil and there's nothing since. If it's not Oakley ballsing up the production and release of these things, it's FedEx ballsing up the delivery of them. It's got to beyond a joke now, heads need to roll at Oakley!

Fedex is kinda weird, i thought it would be a guy in a uniform and in a truck with the Fedex logo who delivered my Goldbrook but it was a random guy with a random car (kinda luxuous, it was a VW passat)

Plus tracking said Goldbrook was on the car to delivery at 20 kilometers (12 miles) from my home at 11:38 am and it only arrived at 6 pm. So it took longer to do this small trip than go from Ontario to Memphis and from Memphis to Paris (and also from Paris to the Fedex place near my place)

I think FedEx tends to do that. Happened to me once. The FedEx tracking website showed delivered at 11am, but nothing was at my door. I called customer service and filed a report for missing packages. At around 8pm, i get a knock on the door with a guy yelling "FedEx!". As i opened the door, i saw the package on the floor and a guy dressed in plain clothes walking back to a 4 door sedan with a driver waiting. The guy turned around and said, "Your package is here! Goodnight!".

I think FedEx guys will hold on to packages that are addressed near their home. This way they can drop off the truck early and get home faster and just deliver items on their way home... or out to dinner. Kind of shady if you ask me.

Well i will test many delivering companies the few next days, i ordered a Hi-fi system kinda heavy (Philips MCM906) with Adrexo (french company i guess), skis with bindings sent with UPS and a STPL Holbrook coming by USPS prority mail (im pretty sure its the french post which will deliver it, by Chronopost). And i will probably buy a watch on a us site which use DHL :D

i've extensively tested delivery services within the US because i get at least 5 packages a week. (some for my work and some personally) and USPS is sooo far ahead of the other shipping companies is a joke.

USPS is cheaper, wayyy faster (priority is usually 2 days delivered even cross country). and usually completely reliable. I always laugh at those UPS commercials where they brag about their "logistics" when USPS ****s on them in that category. I've had UPS packages sitting within 50 miles of my house and it still took them 3 days to deliver it from there.

USPS>UPS>FedEx>On-Trac

I'm gonna refuel the fire here, I apologize in advance. Furthermore, I apologize if any of this has been mentioned earlier. I have read and loved this thread from the beginning.

Today at work, our Oakley rep stopped by to see how things were going and chat a bit. I asked him what the deal was with the Goldbrooks.. According to him, about 200 were put up for sale on the oakley.com page, supposedly mistake, and they sold out within the first day (we all knew that). Furthermore, he said that Oakley somehow messed up the Europe release of them too, resulting in many stores and dealers missing out.. Supposedly Oakley Europe also only had about 200 pieces up for sale on the European Oakley pages (uk.oakley.com, dk.oakley.com, se.oakley.co etc)
At last he added that they might be 'released' for sales in Europe again (no word on the US though).

Has everyone who ordered received theirs yet?
